Nothing special or difficult but I like it

Two weeks ago one of my colleagues lent me all the volumes up to 18 (first series, italian edition) and I was engrossed by the plot
Alita is a great protagonist but I was really impressed by the character of Desty Nova.
I like the character of the mad scientist in general...but he was interesting in the story because he wasn't always the bad guy, he only pursued his goals, although in questionable ways of course...
And the fact that he loves flan makes him very funny
