Metamorphosis by Simokaos Metamorphosis by Simokaos
At first I didn't want to submit it 'cause my work on DeviantArt is mostly illustrations or photos but... :aww:

This is a picture-sculpture I did for an exhibition in my home town.
It represents a changing from youth to maturity.
The green symbolizes a sort of cocoon and she has two silver butterfly wings on her back (it's not visible due to light) :)
However everyone can have different interpretations of it.
Someone told me that it seemed a birth (not so far from the original meaning thought).

Wire, masking tape, glue, filler, toilet paper :giggle: and acrylic on plywood (it can be considered papier-mache on plywood)
Size 120x60 cm

I found this on Art-of-Originality, and this is one of the most original pictures there, I think the 3D coming out of the picture effect works amazingly and it is a wonderful realisation of concept. Excellent :3

Thank you  I'm happy that the 3D is visible enought (it's not a nice enought photo) and I'm very glad you like it :aww: I try to say something in my work, I don't know if it's always understandable but I try anyway.
Thanks for the fav too :)

I think it makes sense, and while everyone will always have their own interpretation, the fact that the general idea seems constant in those interpretations means that it's understandable.

:highfive: Thanks. Maybe the cocoon could be more recognizable in its shape but I didn't want to break the movement of the "waves" around
